[Call for Nominations] 2026 WorldGBC Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards - Green Building Leadership Champion
The World Green Building Council is delighted to announce the launch of its 2026 WorldGBC Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards to celebrate the exceptional people, organisations and projects driving the movement of sustainable built environment across Asia Pacific.
The Green Building Leadership Champion [Individual Award], in its first edition welcoming contestants of all genders, is to pay tribute to an exceptional individual who has made profound contributions to accelerate the development of the green building industry. The Award will recognise and celebrate a true leader who has delivered tangible and lasting impact in strengthening resilience, reducing risk, and advancing health and wellbeing in the built environment; particular emphasis is placed on leadership that embraces partnership and cross-sectoral collaborations, while inspiring the younger generations and the wider industry to cultivate a meaningful and enduring legacy.
The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), as an Established Member of the WorldGBC and a core Member of the Asia Pacific Network, will nominate ONE leader with outstanding achievements in championing the green building transformation based in Hong Kong, with influence extending beyond its borders to run for this Award.
- Join as HKGBC Member - The nominee needs to be an HKGBC Member, either as HKGBC Associate Member - Individual, or is covered by other membership types of HKGBC: https://www.hkgbc.org.hk/eng/membership/
- Fill in the Nomination Form of the Individual Award
- Submit the completed Nomination Form and any supplementary materials by email to [email protected] by 29 May 2026 (Fri)
- Attend a Selection Panel Interview formed by the HKGBC in June 2026 if being shortlisted
- Pay the nomination fee of HK$2,000 to the HKGBC, if being selected to represent Hong Kong
- Commit to attend the following events to be held in Hong Kong if becoming a Finalist of the Award – 2026 WorldGBC AP Leadership Awards Showcase in the afternoon on either 9 or 10 December 2026, and the Award Ceremony in the evening on 10 December 2026
