Hong Kong, 12 August 2025 – The highly anticipated Hong Kong Green Building Week 2025 (HKGBW 2025), co-organised by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), is set to take place from 19 to 28 September 2025. Now in its thirteenth edition, the campaign continues to engage the public in the green building movement with an exciting lineup of activities and a host of celebrity ambassadors supporting the theme: “Green Building Get Set GOAL · Race to Carbon Neutrality”!
To echo the momentum of the 15th National Games, popular singer NG Yip-kwan (James) joins the campaign as an ambassador for the first time in a TV advertisement as a karate athlete, alongside former Hong Kong cycling team member Vivian MA, Hong Kong table tennis player Chelsea CHAN, and Hong Kong, China U22 basketball player Ryan CHAK. The four Green Building Ambassadors gathered at GO PARK Sai Sha, Hong Kong's first outdoor sports park built and operated by a private developer, for the filming a TV advertisement. Fully sponsored by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the location provided an ideal backdrop for showcasing the ambassadors engaging in their respective sports.
This year, we are excited to introduce the lively and charming “GB Friends”: Flora, Little Green, Savvy, Sunny, Windy, Bot and Dot in the TV ad. Their cute appearances certainly leave a lasting impression of green building design. With pre-heat activity “Let’s GOAL Biz-Green Dress Day” and three major activities - “Let’s GOAL! Green Building Fair”, “Let’s GOAL! Green Transport X Building Tour” and “Let’s GOAL! Green Building Guided Tour”, the campaign is set to stir up a green building movement and attract the public to race towards the carbon neutrality goal. Starting from today, everyone can sign up for participation via the online platform “POPTICKET”: https://www.popticket.hk/event/green-building-week-2025

“Biz-Green Dress Day” as a Pre-heat: Promoting Light, Comfortable Office Attire and a Healthy Workplace Culture
On 3 September, the pre-launch activity "Let’s GOAL! Biz-Green Dress Day" will spark enthusiasm for the HKGBW 2025. With support from over 230 companies and organisations, the activity encourages employees to wear light and breathable clothing to work, helping to reduce air conditioning usage, and contribute to energy savings and carbon reduction. This year, participants are once again invited to dress in outfits featuring the four colours (red, blue, green, yellow) symbolising the "Four Green Building Powers" - Health and Well-being, Resource Efficiency, Environmental Friendliness, and Innovative Elements. Stylish yet professional attire is recommended for the group photo challenge, with submissions to be uploaded to their company’s social media platforms. Outstanding entries will have the chance to win the Biz-Green Style Award, Most Popular Award, and Most Engaged Award. In line with this year’s sports theme, Most Energetic Award has been newly introduced to promote a healthy workplace culture. Teams are encouraged to incorporate fitness elements into their photos for a chance to compete for this exciting new award.

Attendees will receive a "Green Sports Game Card", and by completing tasks to collect stamps, they will have a chance to win an exclusive prize, such as GB Friends towels, smart jump ropes, exercise resistance bands, or phone bags.

Spot the tram and join the “Green Building Ding-ding Snapshot Challenge”. Simply upload the photo to your personal social media account (Facebook or Instagram), set the post to public, and tag “Hong Kong Green Building Council” along with the hashtag #HKGBW2025. Ten outstanding entries will be selected to win HKD $500 cash vouchers.
