Funding Assistance for BEAM Plus Projects

The Hong Kong Green Building Council has been coordinating with different parties who provide financial incentives/funding assistance for BEAM Plus project applicants.  Below are some of these incentive/assistance schemes that would help BEAM Plus applicants reduce their financial expenses incurred in improving their buildings and getting certification:

CLP Subsidy Scheme on BEAM Plus Assessment Fee
For BEAM Plus EB V2.0 Selective Scheme - Energy Use (EU) projects

 
 
Rebates of assessment fees are available to eligible schools and NGOs where their assessed buildings achieve grades of 'Excellent' or 'Very Good' under the Energy Use (EU) Aspect of BEAM Plus EB V2.0 Selective Scheme from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020.

CLP Eco Building Fund
For BEAM Plus EB V2.0 projects

The CLP Eco Building Fund subsidises residential buildings and their nearby ancillary facilities to carry out energy efficiency enhancement works. In the fund application, priority will be given to registered buildings in Comprehensive Scheme or Energy Use (EU) Aspect of Selective Scheme under BEAM Plus EB V2.0.

EMSD Energy Efficiency Registration Scheme for Buildings (HKEERSB)
For BEAM Plus NB, EB and BI projects

Buildings that have achieved Final Bronze rating (or Satisfactory grade in EB Selective Scheme – Energy Use) or above under BEAM Plus NB, EB or BI are eligible to register under the EMSD’s HKEERSB. Capital expenditure incurred in the installation / construction of energy-efficient building installations registered under HKEERSB is eligible for accelerated deduction under profits tax.
