Aedas-designed New Huanggang Port: An Open and Inter-connected Gateway

HKGBW 2026 Unveils Exciting Immersive Green Building Experiences with Celebrities and Green Building Experts

Aedas-designed New Huanggang Port: An Open and Inter-connected Gateway

Aedas designs the newly completed Huanggang Port New Development in collaboration with the consultant teams, creating an iconic gateway that serves the community and connects Shenzhen, Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

The design adopts a vertical stacking strategy to ease the boundary-crossing and local traffic, and offers public space to the community. At the centre of the façade, the fins gently lift upward, revealing a transparent glass curtain wall that invites natural light and urban views into the interior. Combined with 73 skylights embedded in the roof, the design creates a bright, open, and welcoming new-generation port facility.

The new Huanggang Port is more open and inter-connected. It features multi-dimensional and diverse public spaces, and incorporates green parks and municipal facilities, reflecting the project's commitment to the public interest of the city.
