Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the Global AI Challenge for Building E&M Facilities 2025 would be open for application until 23 May 2025 (Friday).

Co-organised by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the Government of the HKSAR and the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Global AI Challenge for Building E&M Facilities is the world’s first and largest AI event related to building electrical and mechanical services. This dynamic event would unite the brightest minds in the global AI industry – researchers, students, AI specialists, start-ups, and corporations – to compete, collaborate, and explore cutting-edge technologies. With a series of engaging events lined up, the Challenge would foster collaboration among industry leaders and pave the way for groundbreaking advancements in the electrical and mechanical services sector.

This year's competition offers enticing prizes and includes two sub-theme categories:

• Sub-theme 1: Develop a generalised AI model for predicting cooling demand across multiple buildings 
• Sub-theme 2: Pitch your innovative proposal related to construction and engineering industry 

You can choose to apply for either one sub-theme or both, providing a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and creativity.
