Established in 2009, Hong Kong Green Building Council (“the Council”) is the leading body, co-founded by four major construction industry and environmental organisations, driving the market transformation towards green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong through engagement with the industry, the government and broader community.

HKGBC is expanding its secretariat team in line with its positioning as Hong Kong's leading member-based body dedicated to green building development, with opening for the post of Part-time Project Manager (Building Services):

Job Description

You will be a key person of a project team set up to assist a number of NGOs to transform their existing buildings into smart green buildings. The project will involve a total of six buildings which may include hostel, care home for the elderly, camp site, recreational club, community service building and headquarters with project duration from July 2018 to December 2019.

Key Roles:

  • Provide technical and cost advice on the replacement/upgrade of building services installations and implementation of green measures, including the use of smart technologies;
  • Compile technical and cost reports on the transformation of the NGO buildings;
  • Deliver talk(s) to the NGOs on topic related to building transformation;
  • Perform project management work and coordination with other team members; and
  • Perform other duties as required.


  • MHKIE, MCIBSE or equivalent;
  • Seasoned professional with substantial building services design experience (more than 25 years expected);
  • Able to take up part-time employment with expected involvement at half-time level;
  • Senior management experience in consultancy firm would be an advantage; and
  • Additional experience in training and/or facility management would be an advantage.
