Established in 2009, Hong Kong Green Building Council (“the Council”) is the leading body, co-founded by four major construction industry and environmental organisations, driving the market transformation towards green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong through engagement with the industry, the government and broader community.

HKGBC is expanding its secretariat team in line with its positioning as Hong Kong's leading member-based body dedicated to green building development, with opening for the post of Part-time Deputy Project Manager (BEAM Plus):

Job Description

You will work as a part of a project team set up to assist a number of NGOs to transform their existing buildings into smart green buildings. The project will involve a total of six buildings which may include hostel, care home for the elderly, camp site, recreational club, community service building and headquarters with project duration from July 2018 to December 2019.

Key Roles:

  • Provide technical advice on how the current NGO buildings can satisfy the Comprehensive Scheme of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (EB);
  • Provide technical advice on how to enhance the management and hardware assets of the NGO buildings in order to meet BEAM Plus EB;
  • Compile reports on gap analysis with respect to the current situation of the NGO buildings and the desired levels under BEAM Plus EB (which may comprise different levels such as Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze);
  • Perform coordination with other team members; and
  • Perform other duties as required.


  • Degree holder with valid BEAM Pro (EB v2.0) qualification conferred by HKGBC;
  • Working experience in engineering, green building and/or facility management for at least 10 years;
  • Hands-on experience of handling of projects under BEAM Plus EB v2.0;
  • Able to take up part-time employment with expected involvement at half-time level;
  • Academic and professional qualifications related to facility management would be an advantage; and
  • Substantial experience in facility management would be an advantage.
