The Henderson
Developed by Henderson Land Development Company Limited, 2 Murray Road, The Henderson is designed for five fundamentals, namely Health, Wellness, Green, Smart, and Resilience, to redefine work-life harmony in a healthy and sustainable workplace. The tower fully integrates its surroundings to create an urban oasis in Hong Kong’s CBD, giving people access to nature. The building has been analysed using extensive computational micro-climate simulations to ensure year-round human comfort both on-site and in the surrounding area.
The GBA 2021 Jury Panel regarded this project as demonstrating “how advances in technologies help sustainable building designs”. The beautifully designed high tech building is richly equipped with green features to create a workplace that is both safe and pleasant. The environmentally friendly design also incorporates many state-of-the-art building technologies, including the use of a zero UV, double-laminated resilience façade with Solar Responsive Ventilator and a revolutionary lift system.

Two Taikoo Place
Sustainability is fully integrated in the design of Two Taikoo Place by Swire Properties, aiming to achieve targets beyond local and international benchmarks. By applying a data-driven design approach that encompasses occupant well-being, digital systems, and innovations, the building has emerged as a dynamic and transformative development. The design aims to achieve high sustainability performance throughout the entire project lifecycle through energy conservation, water use reduction, and renewable energy generation, construction waste recycling, and the use of certified green products.
The GBA 2021 Jury Panel appreciated the extensive provision of greenery, open spaces and a rooftop urban farm, all of which creates an oasis in the busy commercial district. Sustainable building design concepts and features, including the innovative “towards zero carbon operation” are richly incorporated in this signature project. Its emphasis on the health and well-being of the building’s occupants is another key aspect of the development, as evidenced by its two semi-outdoor sky gardens, outdoor green spaces, daylight harvesting, wellness facilities, IAQ monitoring, and other amenities. In response to the pandemic, the building is designed to be fully touchless and features a comprehensive air purification system.
