Limited seats. First come, first served.
Funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund and organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), this programme enables the general public to hear directly from green building designers or operators, allowing them to gain a deeper insight into the green design concepts and operational strategies of some renowned green buildings.
Programme Highlights
AIRSIDE is a 1.9 million sq. ft. mixed-use commercial development in the Kai Tak area, the new Central Business District (CBD 2.0). The flagship project is a 47-storey mixed-use development, which comprises a 32-storey of Grade A office and a multi-storey retail complex, complete with an interconnected underground shopping street. AIRSIDE embraces a new urban lifestyle concept of wholeness, inviting everyone and the community to gather at a place where you can be yourself and connect to others and nature.
AIRSIDE is also advocating a sustainable green lifestyle supported by unique facilities, with a number of firsts in Hong Kong achieved, such as Hong Kong’s first smart bicycle parking system, automated refuse collection system with common chute for recycling collection, and the first commercial development connecting the Kai Tak District Cooling System, marking AIRSIDE as one of the most environmentally friendly landmarks in town.
Last but not least, AIRSIDE is the first-ever building in Hong Kong that has received five of the highest sustainable building certifications: US LEED® Final Platinum, WELL Building Standard™ Final Platinum, BEAM Plus Neighborhood Final Platinum, BEAM Plus New Building Provisional Platinum and China Green Building Label Final 3-Star.
During the visit, participants would explore the Automatic Refuse Collection System (ARCS), walkable photovoltaic (PV) panels, AIR Farm, sustainability features and dashboard, as well as Building Information Modelling for Asset Management (BIM-AM).
