Organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and funded by the Construction Industry Council, the Hong Kong Green Shop Alliance (HKGSA) is pleased to present three “Capacity Building Workshops” tailored for mall and shop operators. Featuring experienced sustainability experts, the workshops will offer interactive exchanges and in‑depth insights into the latest environmental trends in retail.

In addition to gaining comprehensive and practical knowledge, participants will also have the chance to join Pilot Programmes, applying energy-saving solutions, tools, or carbon audit in their own malls or shops — free of charge! For those looking to explore operational improvement measures, promote sustainable retail, and enhance brand image, this is a hands‑on opportunity not to be missed!

This workshop – “Smart Waste Solutions: Resource Efficiency in Retail” will introduce knowledge and tools for waste reduction, helping the retail sector transform waste management into a competitive advantage. The programme covers waste management strategies in Hong Kong, green building certification requirements for waste management, waste audit methodologies, and the core principles of effective waste handling. Through interactive case studies, participants will explore source reduction approaches, recycling and reuse practices, as well as emerging technologies tailored to retail environments. Attendees will gain actionable insights to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen their brand’s environmental stewardship.
