Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and BEAM Society Limited (BSL), the BEAM Plus Existing Buildings v3.0 Launch Ceremony would take place at the International Commerce Centre (ICC) on 7 July 2025 (Monday). 

Under the umbrella of BEAM Plus, an assessment tool which offers a comprehensive set of performance criteria for environmental sustainability, BEAM Plus Existing Buildings was first introduced in 2010. The tool has attracted more participation in “Green” initiatives in existing buildings, driven more energy saving, and induced behavioural change. To reshape the paradigm of "Green" existing buildings, HKGBC and BSL have formulated the upgraded BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Version 3.0, by conducting wider engagement, advancing carbon footprint management towards net-zero emissions, and fostering tenant engagement to induce behavioural change. A flexible theme certification mechanism, climate resilience strategy and smart facility management are also incorporated. In addition to introducing the new version, project teams participating in the pilot assessment will share their insights from using the new tool.
