Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the “Create Your District” Competition 2025 now calls for submission and the deadline is 30 June 2025 (Monday).

Organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS), the Competition is themed around Kowloon Walled City, aims to educate the younger generation on the importance of balanced and sustainable urban development. Through this initiative, students would explore the rich history, cultural heritage, and urban transformation potential of the Kowloon City District. The Competition would highlight district-based sustainable development strategies, introduce not only the concept of demolition and re-build, but also preventive maintenance to prolong building lifespans, and promote innovative approaches to holistically improve the built environment.
