HKIA - Webinar: Overview of Eco-Label Schemes for the Building Industry in the Greater Bay Area

Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the Webinar on "Overview of Eco-Label Schemes for the Building Industry in the Greater Bay Area" would be held in a hybrid mode on 14 Aug 2024 (Wed). 

Organised by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Environment & Sustainable Development Committee, this Webinar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the major eco-label programs in the region, offering valuable insights into their certification criteria and requirements. The esteemed speakers would share their expertise on navigating the eco-labelling landscape in Hong Kong. 

The Webinar would include the following:

  • Ar. Clarence LEUNG, Chairperson of the Committee on Environment and Sustainability of Construction Industry Council (CIC), HKGBC Director, would deliver a welcome note introducing CIC sustainable initiatives for the construction industry
  • Ar. Dr Tony IP, HKGBC Director and Convenor of the Green Product Task Force Group, would introduce the Construction Industry Council Green Production Certification (CICGPC) and the HKGBC Eco-Product Directory, while discussing the related incentives available through the BEAM Plus certifications
  • Ir Tim WONG, Portfolio Manager & Associate from Arup, would provide a detailed analysis of eco-label schemes for the building industry in the Greater Bay Area, including an introduction to major programs and a comparative study of their certification criteria and requirements
