HKGBC Retrofitting Guidebook Launching Ceremony (Postponed until further notice)
**With regard to the memorial service for Mr JIANG Zemin, Former President of the People’s Republic of China, the Launching Ceremony originally scheduled on 6 December 2022 will be postponed until further notice.**
Developed by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), the HKGBC Retrofitting Guidebook is going to be launched on 6 December 2022 (Tuesday). The Guidebook is a timely publication which provides strategies for retrofitting with a view to optimising the performance of existing buildings.
The objective of this Guidebook is to promote and facilitate the industry to implement retrofitting for better operational performance in energy efficiency for their building stocks. It contains various retrofitting options and considerations, case studies and other resources such as available funds in the market that can facilitate building owners to perform retrofitting works in their buildings. This is intended to be a living document which will be updated from time to time, with the latest best practices and technological advancements.
The Guidebook has presented the retrofitting strategies in 10 key themes: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning - Water-side and Air-side, Lighting, Electricity Distribution System, Lift & Escalator, Smart Control Systems, Server Room / Data Centre, Carpark, Heating, Building Envelop. The cost and benefits of the retrofitting strategies are also demonstrated through case studies.
You are welcome to join the Launching Ceremony virtually and know more about the Guidebook. Several representatives from the government, developers and associations will also share their experiences and insights with our participants.
