Environment and Conservation Fund Green Building Education and Capacity Building Programmes - Green Building Tour to HKGBC Office and CoCoMall Showroom by CoDECO Group

Registration starts at 10:00am on 17 June 2026 (Wednesday).

Limited seats. First come, first served.

Funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund and organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), this programme enables the general public to hear directly from green building designers or operators, allowing them to gain a deeper insight into the green design concepts and operational strategies of some renowned green buildings.

Programme Highlights:

Explore two contrasting approaches to sustainable workplaces in Hong Kong: the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) Office, which focuses on energy-saving technology, and the CoCoMall Showroom by CoDECO Group, which highlights green and healthy materials. This visit reveals how sustainable interior design and material selection can achieve ESG requirements, including resource reduction, pollution-free construction, and occupant wellbeing.

The first stop of the tour will be the HKGBC Office, a prime example of energy-efficient and sustainable operations. This space demonstrates how existing commercial environments can be upgraded to achieve energy reductions. Key features include liquid solar heat gain control film retrofit on window glazing, EC motor and step-less control upgrades for fan coil units, fan-assisted air-conditioned environment, as well as high-efficiency light reflectors and individual control modules for lighting fittings.

The second stop is the CoCoMall* Showroom by CoDECO Group, shifting the focus to prefabricated interior fit-out and healthy materials. Highlights include Extremely Low Formaldehyde Emission (ENF) grade panels and Modified Clay Materials (MCMs) — lightweight, bendable, prefabricated wall panels that reduce on-site labour and pollution. Visitors will also see a natural limestone paint capable of absorbing CO₂, along with other green and low-pollution materials.

*CoCoMall is a subsidiary of the CoDECO Group. As part of the Group, CoCoMall has been actively advancing ESG by promoting transparent disclosure of material information, reducing renovation-related waste through prefabricated solutions, and encouraging the adoption of healthy, low-pollution building materials. Through these efforts, CoCoMall supports a more sustainable, ethical, and resource-efficient renovation ecosystem.
