Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI) has a strong portfolio of innovative technologies to support and collaborate with the industry, offering frontier-applied research on advanced materials as well as technology transfer for commercialisation success.

NAMI, incorporated in 2006, is designated by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as a Research and Development Centre for nanotechnology and advanced materials. NAMI undertakes and provides support for market-driven research in nanotechnology and advanced materials, and strives for commercialisation of the technologies to benefit the industry and the society at large, as well as new industrialisation to promote the economic growth and sustainability of Hong Kong.

NAMI will organise the NAMI Technology Showcase from 15 to 19 September at the Hong Kong Science Park. The Showcase will feature NAMI's latest technologies and products under five themes:
 

These themes are critical drivers for industry and R&D development. Innovations in these areas accelerate industrial upgrades, enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness, and help the city – and the Greater Bay Area – seize new opportunities. Advancements contribute to long-term GDP growth and regional sustainability, supporting new quality productive forces. The focus areas of the Showcase also closely align with the Hong Kong government’s policies on innovation and technology, smart city, healthcare, and sustainable development. Through collaboration among the Government and the industry, academia, research and investment sectors, NAMI is helping drive transformation and future-proof the industries.

NAMI actively collaborates with the industry, government departments, and public organisations, trade associations, etc. in undertaking market-driven research and development projects in various technology areas. NAMI follows closely the market trends and technology development and focus its research and development initiatives on a wide range of market sectors - Construction, Electronics, Energy, Environmental, and Healthcare.

With NAMI’s dedicated effort and support from the industry and other collaborating partners, cutting-edge and market-driven technologies are readily available for applications across sectors, benefiting the industry and public at large. An increasing number of innovative products embedded with NAMI's award-winning technologies have been successfully launched in both local and overseas markets.
