As a diversified corporation with a strong foothold in Hong Kong, Chinachem Group feels a moral obligation to step up our actions in support of the United Nation (UN)’s 17 wide-ranging Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Sustainability Steering Committee oversees the Group’s development and implementation of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies. Each business unit executes and monitors the sustainability strategies by aligning sustainability targets with the UN’s SDGs.

Chinachem Group aims to create shared value through new products and services in which humans, architecture and nature coexist in a harmonious and liveable environment. From March 2021 to April 2021, Chinachem Group launched "NINA MALL GO GREEN" campaign to promote green dining. 13 restaurants have offered green menus of different cuisines and catering discounts every Wednesday. It caters the needs of different types of customers, and is expected to help reduce carbon emissions by more than 3 tons, which is a step towards a low-carbon future. The concept of the event is widely supported by the restaurants with a high participation rate over 50%. Many popular merchants in the mall participated in the event which demonstrates the common vision of a low-carbon and green lifestyle from all walks of life.
