Synopsis:
To consider sustainability in its most pragmatic form, related to Architecture, we must address the issue of performance in its most detailed and broadest sense. This must be considered at the outset of the concept to ensure that sustainable thinking is embedded into the heart of the design process.

Bio:
Max has over fifteen years of global professional experience, at internationally reknowed practices, nine of which have been spent in Hong Kong.

He has worked predominantly on large infrastructure and commercial projects from conception to construction. As the Director of Sustainability, he has significantly influenced Aedas’ industry-leading green initiatives. His Sunny Bay MTRC Station received an HKIA Merit Award,Green Council Building Award, and Architectural Record Business Week’s Sustainable Design Award.

Max matches his design flair with an innate ability to manage detailed coordination with international consultants, endowing him with a profound understanding of complex design, detailing, interfacing and logistical issues. Currently, he is Project Director for the MTRC Shatin to Central link, West and South Island Lines, and Design Director for Hong Kong’s North Satellite Concourse Airport Project. He was Design Director for a new Hong Kong Government Eco-Park Administration building in Tuen Mun, showcasing innovative green features.
