Kevin Edmunds is Chief Operating Officer of the Business Environment Council  Hong Kong's not-for-profit business association dedicated to sustainability.

A Hong Kong resident since 1996 and with 16 years professional experience, Kevin has advised more than 250 private and public sector clients in 19 Asia Pacific and Europe countries. His expertise encompasses auditing, compliance, benchmarking, performance improvement, management systems, corporate reporting and supply chain management in all aspects of environmental protection.

Kevin has a wide range of experience in the design, construction and operation of buildings with respect to energy and climate, water, materials, waste and indoor environment. He has performed facility audits and long-term monitoring, provided low energy design advice and green specifications, and overseen the BEAM / UK BREEAM certification of over 300 premises in Hong Kong, the UK and continental Europe.

Kevin is a founding member of the BEAM Society and has served on numerous Government committees reviewing Hong Kong's energy codes, incentives for greener buildings and sustainable urban living space. Kevin has also researched life cycle analysis and costing, green procurement, energy policy, waste reduction and recycling, eco-efficiency and cleaner production for corporate, development agencies, and authorities throughout Asia Pacific.

Kevin is a frequent speaker and moderator in areas related to sustainable construction and built environment. In addition he has given lectures on numerous under-graduate, post-graduate and continued professional education programmes at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University and Hong Kong University for students in the architectural, engineering, real estate and business management fields.
