2026 HKGBC Regional Forum X WorldGBC AP Leadership Awards Showcase

Home to over 50% of the world’s population and nearly 40% of global GDP, the Asia-Pacific region serves as a powerful engine for transforming the global built environment. This December, the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) is organising a series of high‑profile regional activities in Hong Kong. A distinguished group of over 100 leaders from more than 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region will convene to advance the regional green building movement, and compete for the 2026 WorldGBC Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards.
 

The 2026 HKGBC Regional Forum X WorldGBC AP Leadership Awards Showcase is set to be held on 9-10 December 2026 (Wednesday to Thursday). Under the theme “Asia Pacific in Action: Advancing Global Green Cities”, this two-day Regional Forum and Awards Showcase is expected to attract over 400 participants, generating vigorous discussions among top experts from across the Asia Pacific, and further advancing the region’s leading role in transforming the global cityscapes of tomorrow.
 

The HKGBC Regional Forum will feature keynote speeches from senior HKSAR government officials on Hong Kong’s visionary master planning and long-term sustainable development strategies. In a series of curated thematic sessions, renowned leaders from Hong Kong and the broader Asia Pacific will also discuss issues driven by strong industry momentum and anchored around pressing topics such as human-centric design, deep decarbonisation, building lifecycle innovation, clean energy, inclusive urbanism and climate resilience.

In parallel, 24 Finalists encompassing projects, organisations and individual categories will share their pioneering entries at the WorldGBC AP Leadership Awards Showcase, where participants can enjoy a unique one-stop opportunity to be immersed in exemplary green building design, practices and innovations shared by leading voices from across the region.
