Dr Raymond YAU is General Manager of Technical Services & Sustainable Development at Swire Properties.
He has over 30 years’ experience on green building development, design, operation, and research. At Swire Properties, he completed long-term sustainability initiatives including the formulation of SD2030 Strategy, setting 1.5oC aligned Science Based Targets, implementation of decarbonisation strategies, including embodied carbon, digital innovation of technical services, climate adaptation and resilience action plan, and ESG green finance framework, all paving way to net zero by 2050.
Before joining Swire Properties, Dr Yau was Fellow and Director of Arup at Hong Kong, practicing as a consulting engineer in designing sustainable and low carbon buildings.
Dr Yau is currently on the Board of Directors of HKGBC and BEC, the Technical Committee Chair on ANZ Ideas Competition, member of Advisory Council on the Environment, GRESB Standard Review, China Green Building Council, a founding member of IWBI Governance Council, and a Fellow Member of HKIE and CIBSE.
