Mr Jeff OATMAN

Green Building Council of Australia

Since joining the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) in 2010, Jeff OATMAN has overseen the certification of more than 700 Green Star projects - from hospitals to hotels, schools to shopping centres, office towers to large-scale community developments the size of new cities. He has spearheaded the GBCA's continuous improvement strategy that has reduced Green Star assessment times, increased cost-effectiveness of certification and boosted customer satisfaction. 

As the Head of Collaboration and Membership at the GBCA, Mr OATMAN's role includes ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement across the GBCA's broad member base. This includes raising awareness of GBCA activities and working with members to engage most effectively in this. He also sits on the World Green Building Council's Asia Pacific Network Advisory Board. 

Mr OATMAN has a Master's Degree in Sustainable Development from the University of New South Wales and is passionate about the role buildings play in Australia's low-carbon future.
