Ir Daniel LEUNG is a Structural Engineer by profession and has been a corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers since 1995. He also serves as part‐time examiner for the HKIE, training tutor for the graduates in the Housing Department, committee members of HKIE, CIC, government organisations and statutory bodies. He possesses over twenty year’s bountiful experiences in the local construction industry.
In the early 90s, he joined the Government in the Housing Department. Since then, he serves a wide spectrum of duties to assist the Department in the development and enhancement of engineering design works, site construction administration and contract administration of a variety of major building construction projects.
As the Assistant Director of Housing, he supervises the Development & Procurement Sub-division of the Housing Department, overseeing project management, technical standards, research and development, corporate procurement and list management policies, health, safety and environmental management. He has also driven the development of smart technology and green construction application in the construction works at all fronts for the past 10 years.
