Mandatory CPD Event - Assuring Water Quality in Plumbing System

This event is organised by Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC).

The quality of our drinking water has been a hot topic in Hong Kong recently.  Excessive heavy metals in water and Legionnaires’ Disease are two subjects that most people are concerned about.  As designers or managers of green buildings, it is important for BEAM practitioners to keep themselves updated about the design and operation techniques to assure water quality.  In this seminar, the speakers will discuss the following issues:

  1. Water quality standards and water testing
  2. Piping materials and joining methods
  3. How to prevent contaminations including heavy metals and Legionnaires’ Disease

It is expected that after the seminar, the audience would be equipped with updated knowledge and skills about water quality assurance.
