In Hong Kong, there are over 2,000 registered schools. A green campus could bring about significant impact to the environment of the community. In areas ranging from resources used in the construction of the school building to energy used to operate them, greener schools can alleviate the overall impacts on the environment. Green schools can also help raise community awareness of environmental stewardship.

On the other hand, the HKGBC works closely with universities, tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools to facilitate students’ learning on green building and nurture them to become future leaders in promoting green buildings.
