Funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund and organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), the two-year “Environment and Conservation Fund Green Building Education and Capacity Building Programmes” (the “Project”) aims to provide quality training and education on green building for a diverse group of audiences. It will enhance the capabilities of society to advance Hong Kong’s built environment.

Activity Types

 

• Micro-credential Topical Courses
  • This series of micro-credential courses are designed to give participants continuing education that is more in-depth than traditional CPD webinars. It enables practitioners to construct individual programmes of weekend or after-hours studies that meet their development needs. Participants taking 20 or more courses can apply for a skill enhancement certificate from HKGBC certifying their significant efforts in studying green.

• Green Building Career Talks
  • A series of career talks for secondary school and tertiary students, on the specific topic of “Green Building Careers” to enable the younger generation to get a genuine feel about the infrequently mentioned green building careers. 

• Open-entry Green Building Foundation Certificate Courses
  • Open-entry Green Building Foundation Certificate course will break the current barriers for non-technical personnel (e.g. ESG practitioners, administration managers, shop owners, teachers, students etc.) to obtain a green building certificate. Participants can enrol in the courses either through physical or online. Upon completion of the courses, they will be awarded a green building certificate.

• Green Building Tours
  • Green Building Tours to enable the general public to have a chance to listen to the green building designers or operators so as to gain a deeper insight into the green design concepts or the operation strategy of some renowned green buildings.
