About the Book

This book is about our thoughts and imaginations concerning public space in Hong Kong. Consider that:

  • Our public space becoming a place for experiments?
  • Community art which brings the artists and residents together?
  • Discovering the beauty of nature in the city?
  • Our public space being a hotspot for low-carbon living?
  • There are many public space(s) in Hong Kong of outstanding quality?

In late 2016, Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and Hong Kong Public Space Initiative (HKPSI) joined hands to carry out a series of urban experiments in Kwun Tong.  This publication attempts to document the outcomes of the experiments. It also has articles related to sustainable neghbourhood, contributed by authors who are experienced in the subject.
