BEAM Plus Certification Plaque
For projects that have completed BEAM Plus final assessment and obtained a BEAM Plus certificate (i.e. at Bronze or above / Satisfactory or above / other rating such as theme certificate and green label for existing schools, etc.), they may display the plaque of corresponding rating and issue year at the building entrance for publicity purpose. The above does not apply to neighbourhood and BI-residential projects.
Subject to Project Applicant’s agreement to display the plaque, HKGBC will provide ONE free certification plaque for each of the above applicable projects. Free certification plaque is NOT available for projects registered under BEAM Plus EB Volume Certification, i.e. they may obtain the plaques at a cost.
Starting from 1 April 2026, an administration fee of HK$500 will be charged if a Project Applicant elects to accept the free plaque. The starting date of 1 April 2026 refers to the date when HKGBC issues an email to the Applicant to enquire if it intends to accept the plaque.
For those Applicants who need to obtain more than one plaque or who need to order plaques for Volume Certification properties, HKGBC will supply the additional plaques at a uniform fee of $1,600 per plaque (applies to all types of plaques).
Optional Sample Inspection
If you would like to inspect the sample before ordering, please contact the HKGBC Secretariat Office one working day in advance by prior appointment. Sample inspection can be scheduled during office hours (Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm; except 1 pm to 2 pm).
How to Order?
Applicants can submit the online order form. Payment advice with payment details will be sent to applicants by email after the submission.
Points to Note
- Project owners can only order the plaque corresponding to the final assessment (FA) rating of the project.
- Order confirmation takes approximately 14 working days to proceed.
- Upon confirmation of the order, HKGBC shall proceed to arrange the production of the plaque. The production lead time is around 90 days. The HKGBC Secretariat will advise the delivery date to the applicant after confirmation of the order.
- As a condition to the use of the plaque, the applicant shall comply with the BEAM Plus Marketing Kit and Style Guide. Plaques can only be displayed in the certified building or space.
- HKGBC may decline the application if the Applicant is unable to provide adequate and requested information.
- Project owners can order plaques even though their FA cerificates have expired.
