Established in 2009, Hong Kong Green Building Council (“the Council”) is the leading body, co-founded by four major construction industry and environmental organisations, driving the market transformation towards green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong through engagement with the industry, the government and broader community.
HKGBC is expanding its secretariat team in line with its positioning as Hong Kong's leading member-based body dedicated to green building development, with opening for the post of Senior Project Executive:
- Provide secretariat and administrative support to management, task forces and committees of the Industry Practices and Research Department, including arranging meeting logistics, preparing meeting materials and liaising with committee members
- Support the planning and organisation of events in associated with department projects, including drafting up briefs, budgets, logistics and project administration
- Provide daily administration support to the operation and development of CIC Green Product Certification Scheme to advance the green building products market
- Maintain quality records and perform quality assurance tasks in accordance with ISO9001 requirements
- Develop and manage the website contents and databases of the scheme
- Conduct background and practical research, on-site inspection, information gathering and report writing for projects related to energy efficiency and smart technologies application
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors
- Bachelor’s Degree in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, Building Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or technology-related field
- At least 3 years of work experience in building material assessments, energy efficiency and environmental related projects; candidates with less experience will be considered as Project Executive
- Basic knowledge in certification process, GHG compliance programmes and audit protocols (e.g. ISO14025, ISO14064, EPD) would be an advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good command of spoken Mandarin would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe design software, and video editing would be an asset
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous, self-motivated with a strong sense of compliance, integrity and responsibility, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
