Mr Andy YEUNG Hon-chung

Andy Yeung is Director and Head of Technical Services of Hongkong Land. He is responsible for Technical Services Management and Green Building Management for the company. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and later on obtained a Master Degree in Environmental Management.

He is a Chartered Engineer possessing more than 30-years technical services, energy management, sustainability management, and green building management experiences through his work in a number of key property companies.

He was the project leader of the “Carbon Smart Building” project under the Climate Change Business Forum (CCBF) and a member of the Scientific Committee of World Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2017. 

For Green Building Management, Andy actively provided inputs for new developments pursuing utilizing innovative building techniques, green building features and energy-efficient systems to improve the building’s long-term sustainability resulting in greener and more energy-efficient buildings with longer term resilience. For managing and operating exiting buildings, Andy has been pursuing incorporation of green and energy efficient features and driving for greener and more efficient operation. As a result, he has successfully led the team to complete a number of green building certification achieving high ratings.

For carbon reduction and Energy management, Andy set ambitious targets for buildings under his management and achieved great results by implementation of a number of green and energy efficient initiatives including operation optimization, upgrading, retro-commissioning, innovative technologies and systems, adoption of e-Platforms & IOT with sensors and intelligent systems using auto-reporting, big data analytics and machine learning.

He has also been driving and implementing other green initiatives including waste reuse/recycling and food waste decomposers for circular economy, green roof scheme on roof tops and top of foot-bridges and solar panels connecting to grids.
