Prof Edward Ng is an Architect and a Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He has been practising as an architect and lecturing in various universities around the world. His specialty is in Environmental and Sustainable Design. He is the Director of the M.Sc. Sustainable and Environmental Design Programme at CUHK. As an environmental consultant to the Hong Kong SAR Government, he developed the performance based daylight design building regulations and the Air Ventilation Assessment (AVA) Guidelines. He is drafting the Urban Climatic Map for Planning in Hong Kong. As a visiting professor of Xian Jiaotong University, China, he is designing ecological schools, building sustainable projects in China, and has twice been the recipient of the RIBA International Awards.
