Assistant Marketing Manager

Job Description
Assisting the Head of Marketing, to plan, organise and execute all related corporate affairs, membership and marketing initiatives, including:

Key Roles:
  • To advocate the brand positioning and manage the branding issues of the Council
  • To manage corporate affairs and related administration, visits, presentations, etc
  • To manage the corporate communication channels, including corporate website and email marketing, etc
  • To assist in driving membership growth and manage all membership-related events and administration
  • To organise various kinds of events, e.g. conferences, awards, and other corporate events, and follow through the planning, budget control, sponsorship seeking, execution and logistic arrangements
  • To execute plans for the outreach strategies and relationship building with local government, various professional institutions, green groups, and the community via various communication and promotion channels
  • To develop various online and offline marketing collaterals from conception, content development to layout design
  • To produce high-quality editorial content such as Council announcements, speeches, presentations, monthly e-newsletter, etc
  • To organise non-HK trips and take care of related planning, visits and logistic arrangements
  • To assist in managing international and mainland affairs
  • To assist in applying for external funding as required
  • To provide secretariat support to the Board and related Standing Committee(s)
  • To support the team for other activities as required and necessary
  • Any other duties as assigned by Executive Director of HKGBC or his delegate
Requirements: 
  • Degree holder in Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in marketing, corporate communications, public relations or events industry
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Spoken Mandarin is also required
  • Good experience in event organisation, especially large scale conferences or award ceremonies preferred
  • Experience in public relations and media handling will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent project management skills, multi-tasking and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and knowledge in HTML would be an advantage
  • Diligent and detail-oriented
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Marketing Executive

Job Description
Assisting the Head of Marketing, to plan, organise and execute all marketing related duties including:

Key Roles:
  • To coordinate with internal departments, external parties and schools for organising and executing various public education events, trainings, tours and workshops;
  • To support the preparation of promotional materials including videos, training kits, presentation materials, advertorials and proposals for school engagement activities;
  • To assist the planning and implementation of online and offline promotional campaigns;
  • To liaise with vendors including consultants, PR agencies, production houses, etc. to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables for events and campaigns;
  • To support all reporting, invoicing and logistics works;
  • To perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related disciplines with minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage;
  • Detailed-mined, versatile and naturally outgoing with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team;
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure;
