HKGBC issues the Green Guide on Revitalization of Industrial Buildings

The Government launches new measures to accelerate the revitalisation of industrial buildings to process all applications for redevelopment, conversion and change of use of industrial buildings starting from the first of April 2010.
In line with the policy launch, HKGBC has issued its Green Guide on Revitalizing Industrial Building, aiming at providing the preliminary introduction on how BEAM Plus (2009 Edition) green building label, Hong Kong’s comprehensive and voluntary environmental assessment scheme, helps owners to understand and capture these opportunities.
Since reducing energy consumption helps to protect the environment and at the same time saves a company expense, it becomes a primary concern for the renovation project.
The extra efforts may pay off and for sure they are making a positive impact on the environment, which will bring a better future to the generations to come.
