Organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and funded by the Construction Industry Council (CIC), the Hong Kong Green Shop Alliance (HKGSA) is pleased to launch a series of Capacity Building Workshops exclusively for HKGSA Members. These Workshops are designed to deepen Members’ understanding of emerging sustainability trends in the retail sector, covering topics such as energy and water saving, waste reduction and green procurement. Ultimately, these initiatives aim to enhance environmental performance across the industry and better prepare Members for the forthcoming HKGSA Award in 2026.

The first workshop, “Powering Collaboration for Energy Efficiency in Retail”, will be held on 24 Oct 2025 (Fri). This session will empower industry practitioners with knowledge-based energy management strategies and explore both technical and financial approaches to energy efficiency, which will cover:

• Retro-commissioning (RCx) Collaboration: Discover how malls and tenants can collaborate effectively on RCx
• Funding Assistance: Learn how to utilise existing funding schemes to drive energy efficiency improvements
• Air-conditioning Solutions: Identify enhancement opportunities in the daily operation and maintenance of air-conditioning systems in malls
• Lighting Solutions: Explore energy-efficient lighting and control platform options for malls and shopfronts
• Case sharing from the Retrofitting Hub: Gain insights from successful retrofitting projects
