Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the 7th HKIUD International Conference would be held in Hong Kong on 17 November 2023 (Friday) during the Urban Design Week held on 14 to 18 November 2023 (Tuesday - Saturday).

Organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD), the 7th HKIUD International Conference, with the theme "New Urban Mobility - Healthy Change for the High-Density City”, acts to share policy and technology thinking in this disrupted space and explores how the coming approaches to new mobility will shape the urban realm and are critical to the health and viability of the future city. The Conference forms the focus of an ongoing series of research workshops, webinars, seminars, and publications culminating in Urban Design Week, during which the International Webinar would be held aiming to promote urban design through technical, professional, and academic dialogue in knowledge sharing and information dissemination. 

The Conference would cover the following sub-themes:

• The New Urban Core - Betterment Opportunities from New Approaches and Mobility Solutions
• Innovation in Urban Mobility - Innovations and Trends
• Health & Equity as Drivers of Change - Science Based Research on the Human Cost of Business As Usual
• Actions in Adapting Urban Streets - How to Make Change to the Existing Fabric
