Maintain the BEAM practitioners’ Status

BEAM practitioners are required to attend CPD events and thus obtain the CPD credits to maintain the professional status as BEAM practitioners.  An alternate option is to re-take the BEAM Pro Examination.

(1)  Annual Submission of CPD Record

The CPD record should be submitted by BEAM practitioners (including BEAM Pro, BEAM Associates, etc.) and BEAM Assessors by end of each year.  (The overall CPD hours may be reviewed in duration of two years if one needs such flexibility and obtains the approval at the discretion of HKGBC.)

Cut-off Date

The cut-off date of CPD hours is 31 December of the next year of the BEAM practitioners, who have been accredited within the current calendar year, i.e., if a BEAM practitioner is accredited in the year 2010, the cut-off date in counting the CPD for this respective BEAM practitioner would be 31 December 2011.

(2)  Exam Re-take Option (Applicable only for BEAM Pro)

The alternate option to maintain the BEAM Pro status is to re-take the BEAM Pro examination. One will be required submitting application with payment to BEAM Society (entrusted by Hong Kong Green Building Council to carry out the BEAM Pro training and examination) on or before 30 November of each year, and schedule the examination on or before end of February of the following year.  The accreditation as BEAM Pro can be maintained after passing the examination.
