Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and BEAM Society have jointly organized the BEAM Pro Training from April 2010 onwards, and lined up with the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) to carry out the examination sessions on BEAM Pro since May 2010.
BEAM Professionals (BEAM Pro) are responsible to integrate the principles of green building and facilitate the process of BEAM Plus certification. The training will be carried out for one full day, which includes BEAM Plus New and Existing Buildings rating tools together with the credit points associated with the 6 components:-
1. Framework and Innovations
2. Site Aspects
3. Materials Aspects
4. Energy Use
5. Water Use
6. Indoor Environmental Quality
Components will be demonstrated with case studies; and all candidates are expected to read the BEAM Plus Manual for New Buildings and Existing Buildings prior to the training.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To enroll the training and examination, you must fulfill the following:
A degree or equivalent in Built Environment related disciplines; plus
A minimum 3 years postgraduate professional experience; plus
Qualification as a full member of a relevant professional institute (HKIA, HKIE, HKILA, HKIP, HKIS or equivalent)
OR
A degree or equivalent in Built Environment related disciplines; plus
A minimum 5 years postgraduate experience related to the assessment of green buildings or equivalent.
Training Fee
We offer special discount to members of Hong Kong Green Building Council (members since November 2009) and BEAM Society (member joint BEAM Society before 1st April 2010).
