The BEAM Faculty was launched in March 2010 to drive the BEAM Plus and BEAM Professionals development and training.

 

 

Members of the BEAM Faculty have extensive industry experience in the Five Aspects of the BEAM Plus assessment. The BEAM Faculty is currently made up of thirty-four industry professionals, to lead the Aspects Groups of Site, Energy Use, Water Use, Materials, and IEQ, and Framework and Innovation.

 

 
The BEAM Faculty provides and promotes knowledge, materials, programmes and resources that support:
- the development and implementation of BEAM Plus
- the development and implementation of BEAM Professionals Training and Examination


Qualification of BEAM Faculty


To become the BEAM Faculty Member, one has to demonstrate the ability to meet the minimum requirements under Part A and additional criteria shown on Part B. Furthermore, candidates who have demonstrated experience and track record on Part C would be considered in a higher priority.


Part A – Basic Criteria

Potential candidate must fulfill the following requirement in order to achieve the first criterion in becoming the BEAM Faculty Member.
- Minimum academic and professional qualification satisfying the requirement of BEAM Professional (BEAM Pro).

Part B – Additional Criteria with Alternative Path

Potential candidate has to further fulfill either one of the following criteria:
Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant post degree working experience, or
Have involved in the preparation of materials or experience equivalent to chairing at least one of the working groups in Site, IEQ, Energy, Material, Water and Operational Maintenance during the establishment of BEAM Plus.


Part C – Preferential Criteria

Priority will be given to potential candidate who can meet one of the following requirements:
- Experienced in the leading or training of at least one of the aspects of Site, IEQ, Energy, Material, Water and Operational Maintenance under the BEAM Plus Green Labelling Tool, or
Have exemplary project/research/teaching experience demonstrating close relevance to the above subject aspect(s).
