BEAM Assessors in 2011
BEAM Plus for New Buildings and Existing Buildings have been launched since August 2010. The new version of BEAM Plus requires a new scheme of BEAM Assessors (BAS) to undertake the building assessment on behalf of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC); and the HKGBC has entrusted BEAM Society to assign projects to BAS.
Since late 2010, HKGBC has accredited a total of 30 BAS through two rounds of recruitment. To ensure the assessment process will be carried out in a professional and fair way, all the accredited BAS are anonymous to the industry.
We will closely monitor the market demand for BAS. Tentatively we will open the recruitment of BAS again around late 2011.
